| | Who we are | | | RDIMS (pronounced "R-DIMS") is a Canadian Federal Government shared system initiative addressing information management problems. A set of tightly integrated commercial-off-the-shelf software products make up the RDIMS solution. RDIMS integrates records management, document management, imaging, optical character recognition, full-text indexing search and retrieval, workflow, an on-line document viewer and reporting capabilities. The full document life cycle of any type of electronic document, such as electronic mail correspondence, reports, manuals, electronic mail, images, graphics and spreadsheets are managed by RDIMS. RDIMS also supports the management of non-electronic documents such as paper, photographs, maps, video and audio tapes. | | | | RDIMS enhances service delivery, provides better support to decision-makers, makes knowledge workers more productive, promotes information sharing and re-use, ensures compliance with Federal legislation and Government Policy and enhances the efficiency of the records management function.
